The displays for the well dressing will be prepared from Monday 25 to Friday 28 July, in the chapel. On the first and last days there isn’t usually much to see, but if you’d like to see how the panels are made, you’re welcome to visit on Wednesday 26th or Thursday 27th (tea and coffee will be available) between 10:00am and 4:00pm.
Visitors are welcome to come along and see how the designs are transformed into a floral well dressing – and if you want to have a go, please just ask!
On Saturday 29 (13:00 hours), there will be the formal blessing and public viewing of the 2023 well dressing.
We open our doors at 12:00noon and should be winding up around 5:00pm. The formal blessing of the well takes place at 1:00pm.
In the chapel, we will be serving hot and cold drinks, cake and also scones with jam and cream. At the moment we are still cash only.
Outside in the gardens, there will be lots going on.
The Stockport Silver Band will be performing two sessions – at around 2:30pm and 3:30pm.
There will be stalls selling locally grown plants, second-hand books, cards, paintings, crafts, Chadkirk Comfrey Oil and Chadkirk Elderflower Cordial.
Local community groups will also be taking part; there will be a making and crafting stall and, of course, a tombola!
