Chadkirk Chapel and St Chad’s Well archaeological reports.

Between the early 1990s and 2005, before the chapel had its last restoration, it was surveyed by the Archaeological Unit at the University of Manchester. The work was undertaken as extensively as possible, without damage to any of the structures. We recently obtained the reports, which we are posting here to make them available to everyone. The reports are public domain, but we thank Greater Manchester Archaeological Advisory Service for providing these and allowing us to make them available.

These documents contain a wealth of detail about the chapel, the graveyard and St Chad’s Well. They include interesting plans, drawing and photographs.
