The chapel will be open for people to visit. Entertainment will be provided by VariVocals, a local choir with conductor Claire Sweeney (based in St Christopher’s Church). Entry is free.
VariVocals is a community choir established in 2013. It offers a feeling of fun, friendship and wellbeing. They sing a wide range of songs and perform concerts throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to join, singers or nonsingers who enjoy singing without audition They rehearse on Tuesday mornings at The St Christopher Centre in Romiley.
Claire Sweeney has been involved in music all her life. Pianist, accompanist, singer, performer, music teacher ,musical director and so on. She enjoys seeing how much music and singing can impact people’s lives and has an interest in the way music can help people’s health. She gives musical talks to community groups and enjoys working with all ages.
The kiosk inside the chapel will be selling refreshments such as hot and cold drinks, cakes and biscuits (cash only). Why not pop down for a break, a chat and to explore this lovely, listed building, the walled garden and perhaps take a walk around the Chadkirk Trail? All funds raised are used for the benefit of Chadkirk, the chapel, the walled garden and the country estate.
If you’re new to the chapel, and driving to reach us, the car park is on Vale Road, just on the left as you turn off the main road. The chapel can then be reached on foot via the road and path.
